ISTHMIAN PREMIER DIVISION MIDWEEK PREVIEW - COULD THE NEW LOOK SCHOLARS BEAT BISHOP'S STORTFORD TOMORROW EVENING?

Tuesday 8th February
Folkestone Invicta v Bowers & Pitsea
Leatherhead v Margate
Potters Bar Town v Bishop's Stortford

Three great games in The Pitching-In Isthmian League Premier Division tomorrow night. Potters Bar Town, under the new management of former Leatherhead, Hemel Hempstead Town and Concord Rangers boss Sammy Moore got their first win after a run of seven defeats on Saturday with an impressive 1-2 victory at Kingstonian. They entertain play-off chasing Bishops Stortford.

The Scholars have a large number of new players in their squad -

Kacper Kurylowicz is a 20 year old goalkeeper who has signed on loan from Tottenham Hotspur. He has represented Poland at youth level and made two apperances for the Spurs u23 side in Premier League 2 last season.

Isaac Ogundere is a young defender signed on loan from AFC Wimbledon. The 19 year old spent the first half of the season on loan at Leatherhead.

Defender Frazer Shaw is well known to local non-league football fans having started his career with Billericay Town and Dulwich Hamlet. He has most recently been with Concord Rangers and Chelmsford City in the Vanarama South Division as well as making three appearances for Kingstonian in January before making his Scholar's debut against The K's.

Defender Jacques Kpohomuh signs having spent December and January with South-East Division side Herne Bay - He stated the season with Southern League Premier Division side Hartley Wintney. He has also played for Hemel Hempstead Town as well as Ashton United, Southport, Droylesden and Welsh side Bangor City.

Zakary Guefri  is a central midfielder who came through the ranks in Stevenage FC's academy before a move to Bishops Stortford in 2017 where he made a handful of apperances. He has played in Sweden and Tunisa - He mae one apperance for Cray Wanderers earlier in the season against Cheshunt and played a number of times for Tonbridge Angels in the Vanarama South Division last season.

Central Midfielder Tyler Christian Law has played for a number of non-league sides including Braintree Town, Billericay Town, Hanwell Town, Romford and Margate.

Quaine Bartley is a striker who has joined on loan from AFC Wimbledon. He is a product of the Tottenham Hotspur academy and spent a short spell on loan with Cray Wanderers in September and October.

Striker Christopher Magunga has joined from Kempston Rovers having also played for St Ives Town this season.

18 year old defender Eniola Agemoh-Davies joins from St Ives Town.

Levi Amantchi has joined from Redditch United. The 21 year old centre forward has also played for Workington AFC, Blyth Spartans, Darlington and Chesterfield.

I think under the management of Moore they will cause a few more surprises this season - Could they cause a Bishops Stortford side, who conceded three goals at home to Corinthian Casuals on Saturday, some problems tomorrow evening?

Elsehwhere Leatherhead host Margate. The Tanners need points to climb away from the bottom of the table and only narrowly lost at Cheshunt on Saturday. Their visitors are now seven points off of the play-off places so also can't afford to drop points.

Bowers & Pitsea make the long trip to the south-coast to play Folkestone Invicta who drew 1-1 at home to Carshalton Athletic. The Essex side lost 1-4 at home to Enfield Town on Saturday.
