THE PITCHING-IN ISTHMIAN LEAGUE WEEKEND ROUND-UP

There is now a five point gap between table topper's Worthing and Enfield Town in second place following the Pitching-In Isthmian League Premier Division games played today. Worthing won 2-0 against Cray Wanderers at home with both goals coming in the first half in front of 879 at The Crucial Environmental Stadium which is their lowest league crowd of the season. The Mackerel Men have now won eight of their last ten league games.

Enfield Town lost their unbeaten home record with Folkestone Invicta looking impressive in a 2-3 victory to move up to third place.

Fourth placed Cheshunt drew 2-2 at Margate but only just with Rowan Liburd making it all square with his second goal on 89 minutes. The former Stevenage striker has now scored five goals in four appearances since joining The Ambers from Billericay Town.

The result of the day goes to Potters Bar Town who recorded an amazing 1-5 win at The Dripping Pan against Lewes. Samson Esan and Luke Joyce-Dwarika both netted twice with Joseph Boachie scoring once. Ollie Tanner was red carded for The Rooks in the 67th minute.

At the foot of the table Leatherhead are now somewhat cast adrift on just 9 points after their 0-2 home defeat to Brightlingsea Regent - It was the Essex side's first victory under their new manager Brett Munyard.

Horsham continue their very impressive form and climb up the table with their sixth victory in a row. The Hornets won 1-3 at Merstham and despite being thirteenth in the table are now only seven points from the play-off places.

Cray Wanderers, Wingate & Finchley and Haringey Borough are all without a win in the last six games - Borough have not won since their 5-1 home victory over East Thurrock United on Saturday 25th September. They went so close today being 3-2 up at home to Bognor Regis Town up until the 88th minute when James Crane scored for The Rocks.
