The race for the title in the Spartan South Midlands League has taken a twist in the last few weeks with Risborough Ranger's Assistant Manager Paul Bonham leaving to join Leighton Town as their new Manager following the departure of Joe Sweeney.
All the teams below Leighton Town have games in hand with unbeaten Risborough Rangers probably best placed on a points per game figure of 2.50.
New Salamis had been on a winning run of six games but in their last league games lost 0-3 at home to Risborough Rangers which clearly underlines the Buckinghamshire teams title credentials.
Hadley had looked in great form but after their FA Cup games with Enfield Town, where they run the Isthmian League Premier Division side so close, have lost four league games in their last six played which included a 0-5 home defeat to Risborough Rangers and Leverstock Green winning 0-2 at Brickfield Lane. Levvy are having a fantastic season under the management of Fergus Moore.
This weekend sees a huge game when Risborough Rangers welcome Harpenden Town to The Windsors where their unbeaten league record will be sternly put to the test.
