The news has broken today that Barnet who are second bottom of the Vanarama National League has parted company with Head Coach Harry Kewell after only a few months in charge with The Bees.
Since Barry Fry left the club in 1993 the list of managers, interim managers and caretaker managers seems endless which includes Ray Clemence, Edgar Davids, Tony Cottee, John Still (several spells), Martin Allen (several spells) and Ulrich Landvreugd.
Whoever takes over at The Hive will be the fifth person in charge since the start of the 20/21 season.
Former Wealdstone and Billericay Town manager Dean Brennan will take over first team responsibilities whilst the search for a replacement is made. Brennan is currently the club's Head of Football.
The only positive results The Bees have had so far in their league campaign is two 1-1 draws at Solihull Moors and at home to Eastleigh. They have lost to Notts County, Dagenham & Redbridge, Grimsby Town, Chesterfield and Bromley. They have conceded 19 goals in their 7 league games played so far which is the worst record in the division and would be bottom was it not for Dover Athletic starting the campaign with -12 points deduction for failing to complete fixtures last season.
The Bees finished in 22nd place last season and in a normal season would of been relegated to step 2 of the non-league football pyramid for the first time since the 1976/77 when they played in the Southern League Division One (South).
