CLASSIC PROGRAMMES - RASRA v HIGHFIELD - 1979

ROYAL ARSENAL SPORTS & RECREATION ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL CLUB were members of the London Spartan League/Spartan League from 1977 through to 1988 struggling towards the bottom of the Senior Division and Division One from 1986 to 1988. The club's home was in Church Manorway in Plumstead and they played in Red & White. This later became the home of Seven Acre Sports who later became Seven Acre Sidcup playing at Oxford Road in Sidcup - In 2016 they were re-named Sporting Club Thamesmead and have been playing at Bayliss Avenue (the former home of Thamesmead Town) since.

Seven Acre Sports were reformed in 2003 and played Sunday football in the Woolwich & Eltham Sunday Football Alliance along with Saturday football in the Bromley & South London Football League.

I'm currently unsure what the status is of the ground but I'm told it's being developed and built on as part of the Crossrail project. I'm sure someone reading this may know more - If you do please make a comment below.

This programme comes from April 1979 and a game against Enfield based Highfield FC. Earlier in the season RASRA had won 3-2 in Enfield and had recently won 2-0 against BROB Barnet with goals from Paul Bolter and Perry Willis.
