denotes play-off places

Sutton United currently sit proudly at the summit of non-league's top table ahead of a clutch of former football league sides that are fighting for their return to League Two. Since The U's re-joined the National League in 2016 they have finished 12th, 3rd, 10th and 15th - When the finished 3rd they lost out to Boreham Wood in the play-offs who in turn lost to Tranmere Rovers in the final.

There are many games to play but there is a real chance for League Two games being played at Gander Green Lane next season - they, like Harrogate Town last season, will have to replace their 4G pitch for a grass pitch if they do go up.

The race for the play-offs is incredibly tight with just eight points separating Notts County in sixth place and Woking in eighteenth place with The Cards only seven points from the drop zone - With the North and South seasons being declared null and void it's yet to be confirmed what will happen with relegation for Step One this season.

FORTHCOMING KEY GAMES IN THE TITLE RACE
Saturday 13th March
Boreham Wood v Torquay United
Play off chasing Boreham Wood host Torquay who have picked up only 12 points from their last 30 on offer which is in stark contrast to 35 points from the 45 points on offer in their first 15 games of the season. They have dropped from 2.33 points per game to 1.2 per game.
Hartlepool United v Eastleigh
The home side under the management of former AFC Fylde boss Dave Challinor are having a great season - they dropped points against an Altrincham side in their last game - they will find this game equally as tough against the play-off chasing Spitfires.

Tuesday 16th March
Chesterfield v Sutton United
A huge game for both sides. Since James Rowe took over The Spireites in late November they have been transformed from fighting for relegation to having a real chance of a play-off place. The have won 9 of 14 leagues games under Rowe - Prior to his arrival it was just 2 wins in 9 games. One of those 9 victories was a narrow 0-1 win at Gander Green Lane in December. The statistic which is most impressive for me is they have conceded only 8 goals in those 14 games so it'll be a ultra tough game for Sutton United. Chesterfield are currently 11/2 with bet365.com to get promoted which may well prove to be a decent bet I think.

Saturday 20th March
Sutton United v Stockport County
Another huge game for both clubs. County still have an outside chance of the title and a win at Gander Green Lane will improve their chances.
