BRADLEY QUINTON LEAVES WELLING UNITED

Bradley Quinton (pictured managing Enfield Town in 2015) has parted company with Vanarama National League South side Welling United after their 0-2 home defeat to St Albans City last night.

The former Braintree Town boss joined the Park View Road club last January and guided The Wings to a twelfth place finish in last season which was ended prematurely due to the pandemic.

This season has been a real struggle for the club who were relegated from non-league's top division at the end of the 2015/16 season.

They have only won once in the eleven league games played so far which came in an away victory at Hemel Hempstead Town. They were knocked out of the FA Trophy at the first time of asking by fellow National South side Oxford City and exited the FA Cup at the hands of step 5 side Sheppey United in the second qualifying round which was the first time since 2011/12 they have been knocked out that early in the competition.

The club have stated Director of Football will oversee the squad for the time being before a caretaker or permanent manager is appointed.
