THE COLD END - 2020 IN PICTURES

JANUARY - THE FA VASE TIE BETWEEN EYNESBURY ROVERS AND LEIGHTON TOWN WAS ONE OF THE BEST GAMES I'VE EVER SEEN. ROVERS WERE 3-1 UP IN THE SECOND HALF ONLY FOR LEIGHTON TO MAKE A COME BACK TO WIN A CLASSIC CUP ENCOUNTER 3-4. 
JANUARY - THE PLAYERS OF HATFIELD UNITED AND NEW SALAMIS RESERVES PAY THEIR RESPECTS WITH A MINUTES SILENCE (BEFORE THEIR HERTS SENIOR COUNTY LEAGUE GAME) IN MEMORY OF ROB TEPPETT (OF ST MARGARETSBURY) AND THIAGO GONVALVEA (OF ST PENTELEIMON) WHO TRAGICALLY PASSED AWAY.

FEBRUARY - NONE OF THE TRAVELLING HARLOW TOWN FANS WOULD OF THOUGHT THEIR GAME AT HERTFORD TOWN WOULD BE ONE OF THEIR LAST AWAY TRIPS OF THE 2019/20 SEASON. THE HAWKS WON THE GAME 0-2 THANKS TO GOALS FROM TAYO OYEBOLA AND CHRISTIAN GYAMFI.
FEBRUARY - TOOTING AND MITCHAM FANS WERE IN FINE FORM AT THEIR ISTHMIAN SOUTH CENTRAL DIVISION GAME AGAINST WARE. 
FEBRUARY - MK ROBINS KICK OFF IN THEIR GAME AT STOTFOLD'S NEW ROKER PARK STADIUM. 
FEBRUARY - HACKNEY WICK ENTERTAINED BURNHAM RAMBLERS AT COLES PARK IN HARINGEY. WITHOUT A GROUND IN THEIR HOME BOROUGH THE WICKERS NOW PLAY AT WITHAM TOWN. 
MARCH - A CROWD OF 157 SAW THE SPARTAN SOUTH MIDLANDS DIVISION ONE GAME BETWEEN FORMER KOPA LEAGUE RIVAL'S NEW SALAMIS AND ST PANTELEIMON. THE SAINTS NOW CALL DONKEY LANE HOME.  LITTLE DID WE KNOW THIS WOULD BE THE LAST SATURDAY GAME BEFORE FOOTBALL WAS BROUGHT TO A END FOR THE 2019/20 SEASON DUE TO THE PANDEMIC.
APRIL - WITH NO FOOTBALL MANY FANS TURNED TO BELARUS WHO WERE THE ONLY COUNTRY TO BE PLAYING FOOTBALL FOR MANY WEEKS. ISLOCH FAN AND ACCORDIAN PLAYER VALERY KOLONTAY BECAME WORLD FAMOUS.
AUGUST - AFTER LOCKDOWN PART ONE ENDED IT WAS LOVELY TO VISIT THE FANTASTIC WESTED MEADOW HOME OF CROCKENHILL FC ON A LOVELY SUMMER'S DAY. 
AUGUST - FOOTBALL ON AN ISLAND ON THE RIVER THAMES AS HERSHAM ENTERTAIN CLAYGATE ROYALS IN A PRE-SEASON FRIENDLY ON DESBOROUGH ISLAND. 
SEPTEMBER - THE HERTFORDSHIRE SENIOR COUNTY LEAGUE KICKS OFF WITH A NEW LOOK FOR HATFIELD TOWN IN RED AND WHITE. 
SEPTEMBER - BRENTWOOD TOWN FANS WATCH THEIR TEAM WIN AT FC ROMANIA IN THE THE EMIRATES FA CUP. 
SEPTEMBER - ENFIELD BOROUGH v TOWER HAMLETS IN THE BUILDBASE FA VASE - NON-LEAGUE FANS HAVE BEEN SOCIALLY DISTANCING LONG BEFORE IT BECAME TRENDY! 
OCTOBER - FORMER SHREWSBURY TOWN AND PLYMOUTH ARGYLE PLAYER MARVIN MORGAN TURNED OUT FOR SUN SPORTS WATFORD IN THEIR HERTS SENIOR COUNTY LEAGUE DIVISION ONE GAME AGAINST HATFIELD UNITED. 
OCTOBER - KNEBWORTH RESERVES ENTERTAIN HARPENDEN ROVERS AT THE RECREATION GROUND.
NOVEMBER - THE WEMBLEY BENCH LOOK ON IN THEIR GAME AT LEVERSTOCK GREEN. 
NOVEMBER - THE PLAYERS OF LANGFORD AND BUCKINGHAM ATHLETIC HOLD A MINUTES SILENCE FOR REMEMBERANCE SUNDAY IN THEIR LAST GAME PLAYED BEFORE LOCKDOWN PART TWO. 
DECEMBER - AFTER FOOTBALL WAS PUT ON HOLD FOR A FEW WEEKS IT RETURNED ON A LOVELY WINTER'S DAY AT BIRCHWOOD WHEN HATFIELD TOWN HOSTED CUFFLEY. 

Who knows what is going to happen in 2021 with the current situation in many parts of the country. I wish anyone reading this a happy and healthy Christmas and hopefully things may start looking up soon.
