Going into Sunday morning's Cyril Anekstein Cup game against HIGHGATE & MUSWELL HILL (of the Maccabi GB Southern Premier Division) the WEST HENDON WALLABIES (new to the Second Division for the 20/21 campaign) had lost 1-2 to Stoke Salmon and 3-4 to FC East London Bees following by a 6-6 draw with Straw Hat Pirates. HMH were in great form winning games 6-3, 5-0 and 7-0 so a home win was predicted but nobody could of foreseen what the final score was!
HMH won the game by an extraordinary score line of 38 (THIRTY-EIGHT) goals to NIL. Oscar Wagner top scored with 7 goals for HMH. It was real Arbroath v Bon Accord moment!
I'm unsure of the story of the game yet but thought I'd send some support to the Wallabies - their next game comes on Sunday 1st November at Aycliffe Park in Boreham Wood where they face the Straw Hat Pirates before a trip on Sunday 8th November to play FC East London Bees at Epping Upper Clapton Rugby Club.
