BELARUSIAN SECOND LEAGUE WEEKEND RESULTS AND ROUND UP

The regular season in the third tier of Belarusian Second League is over and the play-off round has now begun where the top three of Group A and B now move into a mini-division of six teams.

The results of that the teams had against each other over the regular season (four games played) are included in the table as shown. The teams from Group A play those from Group B both home and away and then the top two achieve promotion to the First League for 2021 - For example the top team from Group B were DNEPR Mogilev - they play Molodechno, Stanles Pinsk and Baranovici. From the look of the Promotion group table you can see Molodechno (Group A winners) and DNEPR Mogilev (Group B winners) are looking good although if Shakhtyor Petrikov get the win against Moldechno thin weekend it will make things interesting. The rest of the teams play-off over two legs to decide the placings.

In the play-off round it was great to see Chayka Zelva, who drew two and lost eighteen games in the regular Group A season, finally get a win with their 3-0 win over Zhoblin who finished bottom of Group B. 

FC MOLODECHNO could be returning to the second tier of the Belarusian pyramid - their highest placed finished was fourth in the 1994/95 Premier League.
