It's looking like it's going to be an exciting race for the title for the Essex Senior League this season as there are only seven points separating the current top five with Walthamstow (4th) and Hadley (5th) having games in hand over the top three of Takeley, Safford Walden Town and Hashtag United. Like in previous seasons the key could be how the top teams perform against each other - Takeley got a very important 0-1 win at Walthamstow on Tuesday evening which was the home sides first league defeat of the season. 

The current table topper's Hashtag United have only played one of the current top five which was a 0-1 win at Takeley although this will change over the coming month as they face Walthamstow both home and away along with a trip to Hadley which looks like it will be a very exciting and entertaining game at Brickfield Lane. 

Hadley are the form side of the division winning their last seven league games in a row scoring thirty goals and letting just one in. 

Stansted, currently seventh in the table, have won their last five league games in a row.
