Tring Athletic currently lead the way in the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division with six wins and just one defeat from their seven games played scoring a healthy 24 goals (3.43 goals per game) and letting in just 7. Their defeat came on the opening day of the season at home to Colney Heath who won 1-2 at The Grass Roots Stadium. Colney Heath have won all four of their games played so far but only have scored 9 goals (2.25 GPG) letting in 3 goals.

Two teams who transferred from the United Counties League Premier Division are handily placed in 2nd and 3rd positions. Newport Pagnell Town finished 8th with Eynesbury Rovers in 6th in last season's UCL Premier.

Arlesey Town and Colney Heath are the two sides left without a defeat. Arlesey Town won their game on the opening day of the season but have since drawn 1-1, 3-3, 1-1 and 1-1. Their next game is at home to Tring Athletic on Saturday afternoon.

Leighton Town and North Greenford United are the two sides yet to win a game. Greenford got their first point at home to Arlesey Town on Saturday. Ironically Leighton's only point also came in a draw away at Arlesey Town.

Potton United have conceded 22 goals in their seven games played including a 5-1 defeat to Tring Athletic and 6-0 to Newport Pagnell Town.

Leon Lobjoit, who has played as a professional at both QPR (2015/16) and Northampton Town (17/18), has made a phenomenal start to his season with Newport Pagnell Town. He has played four league games and scored ten goals including five against Potton United. Jim Burnside, who signed for NPT from Potton United over the summer, has also made a good goalscoring start to the season netting seven times in five games.
