ESSEX SENIOR LEAGUE SEASON STARTS THIS WEEKEND

The Essex Senior League kicks off on Saturday with the following fixtures 

SATURDAY 3rd AUGUST
Clapton v Hoddesdon Town 
Hadley v Enfield 
Ilford v Stansted 
Redbridge v St Margaretsbury
Saffron Walden Town v West Essex 
Sawbridgeworth Town v Woodford Town 
Southend Manor v Sporting Bengal United
Takeley v Cockfosters 
Walthamstow v Tower Hamlets 

Hadley and Cockfosters, transferred from the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division, are in action. Hadley host Enfield and Cockfosters have a tough looking away trip at Takeley. 'Fosters then welcome Hadley to Chalk Lane on Tuesday evening. 

Hashtag United, promoted from the Eastern Senior League First Division South, aren't in action until midweek when they host Southend Manor.

Walthamstow and Saffron Walden Town are expected to do well this season. The Stow open with a local derby against Tower Hamlets with The Bloods having two home games in a row against West Essex and Sawbridgeworth Town.
