One of the most exciting weekends of the year for many non-league fans and enthutiasts as the Emirate's FA Cup begins in just under a month. A total of 736 teams have entered for the 2019/20 competition of which 23 are on the Road to Wembley for the very first time in their history. Vauxhall Motors famously reached the Second Round proper of the 2002/03 competition beating Queens Park Rangers 4-3 on penalty kicks after a 1-1 replay draw at Loftus Road. The first game had been drawn 0-0 at Chester City's ground. They reached the First Round proper on two other occasions in 04/05 and 10/11 with their last appearance coming in a 4th QR game against Macclesfield Town in 13/14 which they lost 0-7. The club, based in Ellesmere Port, announced its intention to withdraw from the Conference North due to "ever-increasing costs" during the 13/14 season and returned to the West Cheshire League in order to rebuild for the future. They spent four seasons in the WCL before moving up to the Hallmark Security North West Counties League Division One South for the 18/19 season where they finished in second place. They host Winsford United who finished in sixteenth place of the league's Premier Division last season and have a good history in the competition. They have reached the First Round Proper in 1975 (lost to Peterborough United), 1991 (lost to Wrexham) and 1997 (lost to Chester City).

Campion are one of the club's making their debut in the competition. They play in the Northern Counties East Division One where they finished in second place last season. They are based in the Manningham area of Bradford and make the trip to Bootle where City of Liverpool formed in 2015 currently ground share. COLFC who have plans to build a new community stadium in the Fazakerley area of the city were Champions of the Hallmark North West Counties League last season and will play at Step Five of the non-league ladder for the 2019/20 campaign in the BetVictor Northern Premier League Division One West. They reached the 2nd QR last season losing to Chester FC.

It's Derby Day in the Two Tone City as Sphinx welcome United to Sphinx Drive. Both clubs play in the Midland League Premier Division with United finishing 8th and Sphinx 9th last season. The Sphinx won both league games last season 4-1 at home in front of a crowd of 321 and 0-1 on Boxing Day at Butts Park Arena in front of 458 people. With Coventry City away at Bolton Wanderers in League One it's likely this could be another well attended game.

Fairford last got to the 1st QR in 2008 where they lost to Gosport Borough with Enfield reaching the 2nd QR in 2009 where they lost 0-5 to Chelmsford City.
AFC Hayes v Wembley
A local derby featuring two teams very close to The National Stadium as AFC Hayes who were relegated from the Combined Counties Premier Division last season welcome Wembley who make the short 8 mile journey from Vale Farm. The Lions finished in 12th place of the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division in the 2018/19 campaign. AFC Hayes best performance in the competition came in 2005 when as BROOK HOUSE they reached the 2nd QR losing to Hayes 0-4 in a replay after a 1-1 draw. The visitors famously reached the first round proper in 1980 where after beating Leytonstone/Ilford, Letchworth Garden City, Chelmsford City and Dover Athletic they lost to Enfield FC 0-3 at Southbury Road.
