EAGLES WIN 2-1 AGAINST NEW BRADWELL ST PETER

Hertfordshire Senior County League Premier Division 2019 champion's Letchworth Garden City hosted Spartan South Midlands League Division Two side New Bradwell St Peter at The County Ground in a pre-season fixture yesterday. It was The Eagles who looked the better side with Joe Tyler netting twice in the opening 15 minutes. His second goal was a great curling shot from the edge of the box - He scored 21 goals in 30(1) appearances last season. The visitors looked good in possession in the first two thirds of the pitch but didn't really commit men forward into the final third - they did have a good chance to reduce the scoreline before the break when they hit the crossbar. The second half was pretty even with New Bradwell scoring a late goal (a header from the edge of the six yard box following a great cross from the left hand side) to make the final score 2-1.
