MIDDLESEX COUNTY FOOTBALL LEAGUE CUP FINALS - UPDATE
The Alec Smith Premier Division Cup Semi-Finals
Saturday 9th March
South Kilburn v Cricklewood Wanderers
Saturday 23rd March
St Panteleimon v Pitshanger Dynamo
South Kilburn who are rooted to the bottom of the Premier Division table with just two wins in fifteen league games played have a chance of getting to a cup final - If you look at the record it's actually one in fourteen as one of the wins was awarded to them against Tottenham Hale Rangers. They face 11th placed Cricklewood Wanderers this weekend. The final is scheduled for Saturday 4th May - the favorites will be from the winners of the other tie between title challenger's St Panteleimon and Pitshanger Dynamo.
South Kilburn were formed in 2005 and were runner's up in the Premier Division of the MCFL in 2008 which saw them move up to Division One (East) of the Hellenic League where they stayed for three seasons before the sideway's move to the Combined Counties League Division One where they had their best ever finish of fifth place in 2012/13. The club resigned from the league at the end of the 13/14 campaign and have since finished 9th, 18th (of 18), 14th (of 14) and 15th (of 15) in the Premier Division.
The Jim Rogers President's Division One Cup
Division One (West) New Hanford and Hilltop contest the remaining semi-final on Saturday 16th March and the winners will play Clapton Community on Saturday 13th April. CFC won 1-4 against The Wilberforce Wanderers. With Clapton's large following there will be a huge crowd at this cup final.
The H & D Division Two Challenge Cup
The final of the Division Two Cup will take place on Saturday 23rd March between Brentham Reserves and AFC Hanwell & Hayes.
Jeff Nardin & Combination Cup
The first MCFL Cup final of the season takes place this forthcoming Saturday and sees Centenary Park take on Ruislip who both play in the Combination Division. Ruislip are second in the table with Centenary Park in ninth place second from bottom. Kick off is at 7.45pm at Uxbridge FC so there is a nice chance of see two games in a day.
