Godmanchester Rovers currently lead the way in the Premier Division but it's Histon who look to be best placed at present with games in hand over their title rivals. With twenty-one league games to play it's going to be a busy few months for The Stutes as they, like Godmanchester Rovers, are still involved on the road to Wembley in the Buildbase FA Vase. Histon have only one league defeat so far this season which came away at Long Melford (currently sixteenth) who won 2-1 thanks to two goals from Spanish midfielder Pablo Chaves De Nova who came through the academy system of La Liga 1/2/3 side Granada CF and has also played for UD Maracena and Atletico Monachil in his home country. Histon are the only side with an unbeaten home record with eight wins and one draw from nine games played - the draw came recently on Saturday 29th December at home to Walsham Le Willows in game which finished 2-2.
Last season's Division One Champion's Woodbridge Town will be very pleased with their current fourth place position with Stowmarket Town, who missed out on promotion last season despite finishing with 103 points, looking to have a strong finish to their campaign.
Histon are the form side of the division with five wins and one draw in their last six games but are closely followed by Great Yarmouth Town who have fives wins and one defeat which has pulled them away from the danger zone although they are still only four points away from Hadleigh United who are second from bottom. Ironically The Bloaters only defeat in their last six games came at home to Histon 0-3. They have been boosted with the arrival of League Two Stevenage u18's players Harry Draper and Dylan Switters who have joined on loan. Both have scored goals with Switters netting one of the two scored in the Boxing Day local derby victory over Gorleston which was played in front of 580 people at Wellesley Road.
THE BLOATERS ARE IN FORM - AFTER WINNING JUST TWO OF THEIR OPENING SIXTEEN LEAGUE GAMES THEY HAVE NOW WON FIVE FROM THEIR LAST SIX GAMES.

Trotter scored 49 goals in 34 league and cup games for Suffolk and Ipswich League Division One Benhall St Mary in the 2016/17 campaign and spent some of the 17/18 campaign with Woodbridge and for then Bostik League Premier Division side Leiston.
Rolph is another player to successfully move up from a lower league when he moved from Cambridgeshire League side Sawston United in July 2017. He was Histon's top scorer last season with 19 goals in 38 appearances in league and cup games.
