BUCKINGHAM TOWN BECOME THE 'MILTON KEYNES ROBINS'

Buckingham Town were evicted from their Ford Meadow in 2011 - the ground they had called home since they were formed in 1883. The Robins spent a season ground sharing with Winslow United before moving to their current home of Manor Fields in the Bletchley area of Milton Keynes which they currently share with Spartan South Midlands League Division Two side Unite MK.

It was announced the club would fold last summer but some hard work behind the scenes saw them continuing switching across from the United Counties League Division One to the SSMFL Division One.

It has been announced this midweek that the club with be renamed 'Milton Keynes Robins' or 'MK Robins' forthwith. This is a great touch and keeps the historic club name and history remembered.

In a strange quirk their last opponents officially as Buckingham Town were Wodson Park who won 1-2 last weekend with their first opponents also Wodson Park who they visit this Saturday.

I have no news of a new club badge as yet as they don't appear to have a social media presence or website.
