GOALS GALORE IN THE SPARTAN SOUTH MIDLANDS LEAGUE DIVISION ONE

There were two results which caught the eye in the SSMFL Division yesterday. Title and promotion contenders Baldock Town underlined their pertential with a comfortable 7-0 win over Bedford thanks to goals from Alfie Barker (3), Josh Coley, Zach Decker, Freddie Morris and Russell Bull.

Over at The Queen Elizabeth Stadium Enfield Borough welcomed Hatfield Town and in what sounds like one of the most entertaining games of the season the home side ran out 8-4 winners. Their goals came from Sivi Bao, Tage Kennedy (5) and Bruno Tavares (2). It seems Borough are the team to watch if you like goals as their last game saw another seven - they were 3-0 down to FC Broxbourne Borough at half time but came back to win 3-4 with Tage Kennedy (scoring a hat-trick) and Jamiah Plentie-Lawrence getting the goals in that one.

Their next game comes at home on Wednesday evening when they host North Greenford United in a Middlesex Senior Charity Cup Second Round. United are currently mid-table in the Combined Counites League Premier Division.
