Chatham Town Football Club return to the Southern Counties East League Premier Division for the first time since 2001 although it was known as The Kent League then. It was a season to forget in 2016/17 as they finished 22nd of 24 teams in the Ryman League Divison One (South) winning just seven of their forty-six games played and letting in 120 goals in the process.

Their biggest pre-season game comes on Tuesday 18th July against local League One side Gillingham which is bound to attract a decent crowd.
