The scheduled games for the forthcoming week in the SSMFL Division One could be pivotal as to who finishes top of the league and in the runner's up position to be promoted to the Premier Division for the 2017/18 season.
Harpenden Town travel to Biggleswade FC on Saturday before playing host to them on Tuesday evening at Rothamstead Park. Two wins for either side would firmly put them in the driving seat for the title.
The only team who have a really good chance of catching them are Baldock Town who have four games in hand over the current top two - they will be hoping for two draws in the upcoming games - they drew 3-3 with Kensington Borough last night and now have a run of five games at home hosting Hadley Wood & Wingate, Hillingdon Borough, Southall, Winslow United and Hatfield Town over the next few weeks.
