ANOTHER FANTASTIC AWAY DAY VICTORY FOR COCKFOSTERS
Below courtesy of @NathanJHobley are highlights of Cockfosters excellent win at Hertford Town in the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division on Saturday. Third placed 'Fosters have beaten both table topper's London Colney and second placed Hertford Town in two of their last three games - the third game was a 5-1 victory at home to Leverstock Green. Good things are happening at both clubs under the management of Gavin Kelsey and Dean Barker. A really good crowd of 238 people saw Ioannis Varouxakis and Meshach Williams score the goals for the North London side. People not in the know might think 238 people is quite a poor attendance but if you compare it to the 129 people who watched the Hertford Town v Tring Athletic game on Saturday 19th December last year it's a real improvement and if we go back even further to 2012 89 people saw their home game with Oxhey Jets on Saturday 15th December that year. Nathan is well worth a follow on twitter - his videos are getting better and better with the multi-angles brilliant. Superb work!!
This Tuesday evening ALL SSMFL roads lead to Hertingfordbury Park as it's the game of the season so far as second plays first in the Premier Division table. A home victory in the Hertford Town v London Colney clash will put The Blues just five points behind LCFC with two games in hand - Back on the Saturday 5th November they were fourteen points ahead of second placed Berkhamsted and eighteen ahead of then sixth placed Hertford Town. As you can see from the below table it's a real top of the table clash!
