A FEAST OF FESTIVE CUP FOOTBALL AT CHALK LANE THIS THURSDAY EVENING

There is a chance for local fans and ground hoppers alike to catch what will hopefully be a real feast of festive Christmas football at Chalk Lane this Thursday evening as Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division side Cockfosters welcome Hayes and Yeading United of the Evo Stik Southern League Premier Division in a Middlesex FA Senior Charity Cup Second Round game.

'Fosters, managed by Dean Barker, are having a brilliant season so far and are currently in third place of their table having beaten Leighton Town 4-0 on Saturday - Hayes and Yeading United have had a recent change in management with Paul Hughes and Ritchie Hanlon joining after a highly successful period in charge of Kings Langley.

H&Y are currently in the relegation zone in their table and are still playing outside of their home borough at Beaconsfield SYCOB after problems with their new SkyEx Community stadium - hopefully they can get back home very soon.  Since taking over Hanlon and Hughes have been in charge for seven league games losing five, winning one and drawing 0-0 at Stratford Town on Saturday which would of been a very welcome clean sheet for everyone involved at the club. Just Adam Everitt remained in the starting XI from the opening game of the season with many players following the management duo from their old club - Danny Boness, Josh Chamberlain, Mahlondo Martin, Ryan Hope, Mitchell Weiss, Josh Hutchinson and Connor Toomey all started Saturday's match and are recent signings from Kings Langley.

Kick off is at 7.45pm and you'll receive a fantastic welcome from everyone at the club if you do attend.
