A NEW ERA FOR FOOTBALL IN HERTFORDSHIRE AS STEVENAGE COMMUNITY KICK OFF THEIR FIRST HOME GAME OF THE 2016/17 SEASON

FANTASTIC FACIAL HAIR! - BALDOCK'S NUMBER SIX WOULD DEFINATELY BE A CONTENDER FOR "NON-LEAGUE BEARD OF THE YEAR" IF THER WAS SUCH AN AWARD.

New club Stevenage Community welcomed Baldock Town Reserves for their first home game at the King George V recreation ground in the Hertfordshire Senior County Division One. Both teams had had 2-2 draws in their opneing games - The home side at AFC Hatfield and Baldock at home to Broadfields.

THE PITCH AT KING GEORGE V RECREATION GROUND - HOME TO STEVENAGE COMMUNITY FC
Stevenage in red and white were much the better side in this game watched by a decent crowd on a lovely summer's evening - there were a few local ground hoppers present who 'ticked off' the new club's home pitch. The final score was 4-1 to SCFC and they look a decent side with two big tall defenders - they will do very well in their division this season.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS

Since the game Stevenge have lost 3-1 at Broadfields and won 7-0 at home to Lings Elite yesterday evening. Baldock have lost 2-4 at home to Sun Sports Reserves and 8-0 away at Ickleford - they host Bengeo Trinty at the North Herts Arena this Saturday. Stevenage welcome Enfield based Hinton to the King George V recreation ground.
