FORMER TOWNER JOINS THE MANAGEMENT TEAM AT THE STONES

Ex Enfield Town manager Steve Newing has joined the management team at Vanarama South side Wealdstone where he will work alongside Manager Gordon Bartlett and first team coach Scott McGleish. Newing played alongside McGleish at Edgware Town before he moved into full time football and was also highly influential in bringing the striker to Enfield Town in 2013 where the ex Leyton Orient, Barnet, Northampton Town and Colchester United (to name a few clubs) player's goals helped The Towner's to a 16th place finish in their first season in the Ryman Premier Division.
STEVE NEWING TALKS TO THE ENFIELD FANS AT GOLDSDOWN ROAD AFTER MISSING OUT ON THE DIVISION ONE (NORTH) PLAY-OFFS BY ONE POINT IN 2011 - IT ALL CAME GOOD THE NEXT SEASON!
Steve famously took The Towner's up from Division One (North) in 2011/12 via the play-offs with victories over Grays Athletic and Needham Market. He has most recently been working with the u21 team at National League side Boreham Wood.

THE COLD END wishes Steve the best of luck in his new job - The Stones have gained a real football man who will be big asset to their club.
