REPRESENTING THE RYMAN LEAGUE - BOGNOR REGIS TOWN TAKE ONE STEP CLOSER TO WEMBLEY

1,821 fans crammed into Nyewood Lane to see Bognor Regis Town take one step closer to Wembley Stadium - The Rocks defeated Vanarama National side Torquay United 1-0 through a goal from Snorre Nilsen in the 49th minute in the FA Trophy Quarter-Final.

The Semi-Final will take place over two legs on Saturday 12th and Saturday 19th Match meaning the matches at Enfield Town and at home to Grays Athletic will have to be re-arranged into The Rocks already incredibly busy schedule.

They have now beaten three step two sides and two step one sides on The Road to Wembley.

Nantwich Town and Bognor Regis Town are joined in the semi-finals by what will be two  Vanarama National sides - Grimsby Town won 2-0 at home to Woking in front of 1,675 people.  Gateshead and FC Halifax Town will replay after a 0-0 draw today (with a crowd of 1,431).

The FA Trophy (much like the FA Cup) has over the past few seasons received some criticism from fans who would rather see their club go for promotion rather than win games and even get the chance to play at Wembley. I would say that there are many non-league supporters who would gladly swop places with the fans of Bognor Regis Town and Nantwich Town who can now dare to dream!! Not even the most ardent of their followers would of predicted a semi-final appearance back when they started in the 1st Qualifying Round at the end of October.
