SAM FRANKLIN-JONES IS HAT-TRICK HERO FOR BURY RANGERS

Bury Rangers celebrate with the Centenary Trophy with hat trick hero Sam Franklin-Jones in the middle with his Man of the Match award.
It was a memorable evening for Bury Rangers on Friday as they won the Hertford and District Centenary Trophy with a 3-2 victory over local rival's Bengeo Trinity. Described in the match programme squad profiles 'sometimes knows where the goal is' and with '#pacetoburn' it was Sam Franklin-Jones who was the hero for Rangers scored a well deserved hat-trick and being awarded the man of the match. Both goalkeepers made some terrific saves during the game.

What was good to see that both sides got on with the game in good spirits with the referee and his assistants who were brilliant making all the right decisions at the right time.

Both Bury Rangers and Bengeo Trinity have some league games left to play. Rangers home games against FC Cornerstone (Saturday 2nd May) and Watton-At-Stone (Saturday 9th May).

Trinity have a very busy few weeks with the following fixtures where there could still be crowned title winners. Current table toppers Oracle Components could get to a points total of 38 if they win their last two games - one of which is against Bengeo. If Trinity win all their games they would get to a points total of 40 so it looks like the crunch game is on Saturday 2nd May. Oracle Components face Inter Hoddesdon Town at home this afternoon.

Tuesday 28th April - Westmill
Thursday 30th April - INTER HODDESDON TOWN
Saturday 2nd May - Oracle Components
Tuesday 5th May - Watton-At-Stone
Thuesday 7th May - Sumners
Saturday 9th May - Inter Hoddesdon Town
