RYMAN PREMIER DIVISION - UPDATE

Margate's 0-3 victory at Metropolitan Police last night has put a real dent in the Imber Court club's play-off aspirations - they are still in with a chance though! Freddie Lapado scored all three goals in the win which also keeps The Gate's outside title hopes alive.

Huge game tonight when Grays Athletic play Wingate & Finchley

Tonight there is a fantastic game in prospect when Grays Athletic entertain Wingate and Finchley. A win for either side would lift them to 67 points and into the play off zone in place of Enfield Town. Looking at the table the fans of the other play-off chasing teams will be hoping for a draw in this game.

With two games to be played over the Easter weekend the picture at the top of the division and in the race for the play-offs could look a little clearer by 5pm on Bank Holiday Monday especially as many of the teams are involved in games against each other.

At the top Hendon welcome Maidstone United to Earlsmead on Saturday in the game of the day. A home win for Gary McCann's side would put them in a position of taking over The Stones in top spot should they win their two games in hand. An away win would put the Kent side in a very strong position at the top of the division and only a few wins away from the title.

At the bottom of the division Harrow Borough's incredible run of results has lifted them out of the bottom four. They are unbeaten in seven league games and have won four of these including the vital 1-3 victory at AFC Hornchurch last weekend. Lewes, P&T and Canvey Island probably need one more win to be safe with H&R and Tonbridge Angels in real danger of being pulled into the relegation zone. AFC Hornchurch's game in hand could be very important - this was due to be played at Hendon on Monday night but was cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch.
