TOWN DOMINATE AGAINST TEN MEN BILLERICAY

Bradley Quinton's Enfield Town put on a superb performance at Donkey Lane yesterday in recording a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Billericay Town. Corey Whitley had already put the home side 1-0 up with a great finish when Billericay centre back Ryan Scott was sent off for bringing down Bobby Devyne when he was through on goal. It was Devyne who put Town 2-0 up just before the break with another confident finish. Town dominated the second half and made it 3-0 via Devyne before Jordan Lockie (playing his 199th game for the club) scored a fantastic goal following a great run into the box.

Devyne has now scored an amazing six goals in five games since joining from Brimsdown FC in January.

It was only the third time this season that Billericay have conceded 3 or more goals. The only other times have been a 5-1 defeat at Margate on Saturday 23rd August and a 2-3 home defeat v Wingate & Finchley on Saturday 20th September. No highlights from The Cold End as I was behind the goal enjoying the action with my little boy but @etfctv recorded the action below.

Enfield Town's next game comes on Tuesday evening which is a Middlesex Charity Cup Semi-Final versus Cockfosters. 'Fosters are currently in fifteenth position of the Spartan South Midlands Premier Division. They have only one win in thirteen league games (which came recently in a 2-0 home victory versus Hoddesdon Town) with manager Mark Mezen rebuilding the side following the former management team of Mick Roche and Fabio Valenti leaving to join Edgware Town with many of  players also departing Chalk Lane. In the cups they have had some better form with a 2-1 home victory over Staines Lamma in the Quater Final of the MCC, a 1-0 home victory versus Erith and Belvedere in the London Senior Cup before losing on penalty kicks to Tooting and Mitcham United in the LSC after a 2-2 draw at Chalk Lane. Kick off on Tuesday evening in at 7.45pm.
