Only Bowers and Pitsea (4-0 winners at home to Haverhill Rovers) and Eton Manor (a fantastic 0-4 away win at Stowmarket Town) managed to get through to the Second Round Proper on Saturday. They are joined by Waltham Forest, Tower Hamlets, Haringey Borough and Enfield 1893 who join the competition at this stage. FA Cup heroes and title contender's FC Romania crashed out with a surprising 5-1 defeat at sixteenth placed Thurlow Nunn Premier Division side Whitton United.

Waltham Forest play their first game back in the competition since 2001/02 when they welcome Great Yarmouth Town to East London. Last time they played in the Vase they were known at Leyton Pennant and got to the Third Round Proper.
