TUESDAY'S RESULTS
BURY TOWN 1 HASTINGS UNITED 0
CRAY WANDERERS 2 LEWES 2
EAST THURROCK UNITED 2 HARROW BOROUGH 0
THURROCK 1 ENFIELD TOWN 0
At the bottom of the table it's all getting really close with Lewes (even though they only drew) and Thurrock the real winners from Tuesday night's results. Lewes were 2-0 down at Cray Wanderers with ten minutes left but thanks to two Nathan Crabb goals pulled it back to 2-2. The second came in injury time to send the Lewes travelling faithful into raptures.
Carshalton Athletic, Enfield Town's opponents on Saturday, can now only realistically finish above Hastings United and Wingate and Finchley. Mathematically they can finish above Lewes but would have to make up a goal difference of -7 which of course is not impossible! A win for Wingate and Finchley against Lowestoft Town tonight would put them out of the reach for Carshalton Athletic.
Being an Enfield Town fan I am just glad we are no longer involved!
