HELP SAVE THE BLOATERS!

Back in October The Cold End visited the Norfolk coastal town of Great Yarmouth and the wonderful Wellesley Recreation Ground where the Town's football side have played since being formed in the 1890's.

The Bloaters have been struggling both on and off the field this season and subsequently find themselves rooted to the bottom of the Eastern Counties League Premier Division.

A club Extraordinary General Meeting  takes place next Tuesday where various proposals are to be discussed. You can read about these here in the pinkun.

A fund raising campaign has been set up by loyal supporter Rich Davison entitled 'HELP SAVE THE BLOATERS' which you can read about here on the 'save the bloaters' website. You can also follow him on twitter @SaveTheBloaters

If you are reading this and you can help the historic club in anyway please contact Rich via his Twitter account.

With only one win in their twenty-five league games so far The Bloaters had a good 2-2 draw in the local derby game on Boxing Day with Gorleston where a good crowd of 342 turned out at The Wellesley. Things took another dip on the 31st December when visiting Woodbridge Town recorded a 1-8 victory before another defeat at nearby Kirkley and Pakefield (0-2).

The Bloaters are next in action on Saturday when they welcome Wivenhoe Town to the Seaside before Stanway Rovers come to town on Saturday 14th January. They then make the trip to CRC on Saturday 21st January.
