Four teams fly the flag for the Ryman League in the FA Trophy tomorrow afternoon. All are from the Premier Division with two teams at home and two teams on the road. East Thurrock United welcome Blue Square South Hampton and Richmond to Rookery Hill with AFC Hornchurch and Carshalton Athletic travelling to Blue Square Premier sides Grimsby Town and Lincoln City. The tie which captures the imagination for many people is at The St George's Stadium where 1985 winner's Wealdstone facing 1990 and 2010 winner's Barrow AFC.
Could there be a shock in store?? The Stones have only lost one out of seventeen games in league and cup competition since the beginning of November with Barrow (currently 11th place in the Blue Square Premier) only winning three out of their 14 league games away from home to date. These wins were at Darlington, Ebbsfleet United and Bath City who are all teams struggling in the wrong half of the table.
Watford player Britt Assombalonga, who impressed against Enfield Town in the Middlesex Senior Cup in early December, has scored eight times for The Stones during his loan spell and should start tomorrow.
SKY BET make the BSP team favourites at 5/6 but Wealdstone at 12/5 looks good value odds for The Stones. The draw is rated as 5/2.
Top of the table AFC Hornchurch make the trip to in-form Grimsby Town with Carshalton Athletic travelling to a Lincoln City side hovering above the BSP relegation zone. Unsurprisingly both sides are rated as outsiders with The Urchins at 11/2 and The Robins at 5/1. Both sides supporters are bound to have days they won't forget for a long while and with nothing to lose a upset could be on the cards??? A draw for either would be a brilliant result.
East Thurrock United are 13/8 to beat Hampton and Richmond (6/5) at Rookery Hill.
THE COLD END WISHES ALL FOUR TEAMS THE BEST OF LUCK AND HOPES THE RYMAN FLAG IS STILL FLYING IN THE COMPETITION AT 5PM!
