For reasons beyond the cold end's control I couldn't be at the first game at Donkey Lane/Queen Elizabeth Stadium/The Donkey Dome/Burrobeau Stadium* yesterday evening. Call myself a fan...more of a glory hunter now!!
A good crowd of 251 people saw the Town record a 2-1 against Harefield United with Walid Matata and Daniel Ailey getting on the score-sheet. The Hare's Jack Reader had opened the scoring on 41 minutes.
Town face another home tie in Round Two against the winners of the Wealdstone v Ashford Town (Middlesex) game which is being played next Tuesday night
*delete as applicable.. I love them all....the Burrobeau Stadium is brilliant - which an unknown director came up with last week I believe.
