THE COLD END SALUTES...THE MOTORMEN & THE ROCKS

The Ryman League will be represented in the FA Cup with Budweiser First Round by at least three teams with Division One (North) Redbridge making the national headlines at the weekend by knocking out Blue Square Premier Division Ebbsfleet United.

East Thurrock United, last season's Division One (North) Champions, have also made it through to the First Round for the first time in their history after a fantastic away with at Blue Square South Eastbourne Borough.

The trio will be made up from the winners of the all Premier Division replay between Leatherhead and Sutton United tomorrow night.

The Motormen have been drawn against Evo-Stick Southern Premier Division Oxford City, The Rocks entertain League Two Macclesfield Town and the winners of the replay at Fetcham Grove welcome Blue Square Premier Kettering Town.

With Charlton Atletic and Sheffield's Wednesday and United in the hat for the draw the Ryman League representatives unfortunately didn't hit the jackpot but will be eagerly awaiting the games to be played on the weekend of 12th November.

The Motormen have only conceded one goal in their run with Cockfoster's Dave Pigdon laying claim to this fame. His goal in the Preliminary Round game actually put the Spartan South Midlands Division One side ahead.

Terry Spillane will know Oxford City will be no pushovers as they have won away at two Blue Square South sides during their run and are also currently in fifth place of the Evo-Stick Southern Premier League.

East Thurrock United appear to have left their best form for the FA Cup this season as in the league they have only won two of eleven games. They face The Silkmen of League Two who last met non-league opposition in the FA Cup in 2008 when they played Harlow Town at Barrows Farm in front of 2,149 people. Shaun Brisley and Terry Dunfield scored the goals in a 0-2 win against The Hawks who were then members of the Ryman Premier Division. Brisley is still on the books at The Moss Rose whilst Dunfield (a full Canadian International) left in January 2009 to join Shrewsbury Town for a fee of £65,000. He has since played for Vancouver Whitecaps and currently plays for Toronto FC in the MLS.
