The cold end wrote about the future of Barry Town this morning so thought it would be only right to draw your attention to the situation supporters of Rushden and Diamonds face this summer.
The Rushden and Diamonds Supporters Group Website goes into more detail but the long and short of it is that the club are due in Northampton County Court on the 13th June facing a winding up petition.
The 1995 FA Trophy Quarter Final Enfield FC played at Nene Park is one that all fan's look back as a match that will live long in the memory....even though we lost 4-3.
The cold end wishes all the fans of R&D the best and hopefully they will start next season as a Blue Square Premier Club.

HELP SAVE BARRY TOWN FC
This doesn't fall under the local football umbrella but news has reached the cold end of the situation that supporters of a historic and very well known football club find themselves in.
Non-League fans up and down the United Kingdom will know who Barry Town FC are following their European matches and adventures in the 1990's and early 2000's. In fact they beat FC Porto in the Champions League in the 2000/01 season (3-1 at home after losing the 1st leg away 8-0)
One of the most famous Welsh clubs are currently up for sale as detailed in a BBC website article here. The full statement regarding the sale of the club can be found at the Barry Town official website here
The ForzaBarry website also fully details the going's on at Jenner Park of late and is well worth a read. They are running a #SaveBarryTownFC campaign on twitter.com in the hope a buyer comes forward to save the club.

RYMAN DIVISION ONE (NORTH) PSF'S UPDATE
Here is an updated list of the pre-season friendlies organised so far for the Ryman Division One (North) sides. Pre-Season seems to get earlier and earlier as each year passes by with Maldon and Tiptree scheduled to be entertaining a Colchester United on Wednesday 6th July in the first game of the season preparations. Other league sides heading for Ryman North grounds are Southend United and a West Ham XI at Great Wakering Rovers and Leyton Orient at Harlow Town.
Enfield Town have added that a team will take a trip to Cockfosters on Saturday 30th July and a visit North Greenford United on Tuesday 9th August.
One fixture of note is Grays Athletic entertaining a team called 'AFC ESSEX' at The Academy in Loughton. The AFC team will have members of ITV programme 'The Only Way is Essex' wthin their ranks.

CLASSIC PROGRAMMES - HARROW TOWN V ENFIELD FC - 1961
On Saturday 23rd September 1961 Harrow Town, then of the Delphian League, were 'pleased to have a rare visit from one of the strongest Amateur teams in the country at the present time'.
Harrow Town became the club we now know as Harrow Borough in 1967 having played at their ground, Earlsmead, since they were formed as Roxonian FC in the 1930's.

In the previous season's Cup competition Town had got through to the 4th Qualifying Round by beating Wealdstone, Hertford Town, Bishops Stortford (by a margin of 8-4, they must of like playing them at the time) and eventually lost out to Maidenhead United by a scoreline of 2-3 at home. That had been their best season so far in their history at the time. Harrow Borough qualified for the 1st Round Proper for the first time in 1983/84 where they beat Yeovil Town 1-0 before bowing out to Newport County (then of Division Three) 1-3 at home. The E's had played Newport in the Cup the previous season losing 4-2 in Wales after a 0-0 draw at Southbury Road in the First Round Proper.
The programme states 'when we realise that Enfield crushed the powerful Hertford side 8-1 in the previous round, it is, perhaps, natural that we are a little apprehensive (the understatement of the year?)' and they were proved right at The E's, then members of the Athenian League, won 0-4.
In the next round local rivals and fellow Athenian Leauge title challengers at the time, Barnet, visited Southbury Road and won 2-4. They then beat Hitchin Town 3-2 at Underhill before losing to Southern League Weymouth 1-0 away from home in the First Round Proper. The Terras got through to the Fourth Round that season and made a big trip to Deepdale to play Division Two giants Preston North End who ran out 2-0 winners.
The E's got some revenge back on their rivals by lifting the Championship by a margin of 3 points to The Bees in the runners-up position.
Harrow Town had an awful season finishing 13th of 14 clubs winning only 3 of 26 leagues games. Bishop's Stortford who they had beaten so convincingly in the Cup went on to finish in 3rd place in the Delphian League. The Champions that season where Hertford Town. The league ceased to be after the season of 1962/63 with most clubs joining the then stronger Athenian League to form it's new Second Division.
Harrow's reserve side had just played a side called 'Westrow Griffon' at home in the London Intermediate Cup. They had lost the game 3-4 to the Essex Intermediate League side after leading 2-0. I can't find any information regarding 'Westrow Griffon' so they remain a bit of a mystery. If you have any knowledge of them please contact the cold end.

Since joining the Spartan South Midlands League in the summer of 2006, after the demise of the Ryman League Division Two, Chalfont St Peter have been the most consistent club in the Premier Division. The Saint's finished in 6th place, runners-up, 3rd, and runners-up prior to this season's Championship win so nobody can argue they fully deserve the success they've gained.
Opening their campaign with a 1-3 win at Hatfield Town few people would of thought they'd win the next 16 league games before Kingsbury London Tigers put a dent in their 100% perfect record with a 1-2 win at Mill Meadow on the 11th December. Amassing a total of 103 league points the club fully deserve the title and with it promotion to the Southern League Central Division. Charlie Strutton once again top scored for The Saints hitting the back of the net 36 times in 47 league and cup appearances.
Ironically Chalfont's final game in the Spartan South Midlands League was against bottom of the table Langford. It was a terrible season for the Forde Park outfit who only recorded 7 wins in their 44 league games and will next season be competing in Division One.
Tring Athletic and Royston Town had, once again, very impressive years finishing in runners-up and third place positions which was an improvement by both clubs of one place on last season. In 2009/10 both Tring and Royston finished on a points total of 84 from 42 games which with the two extra games this season is near enough the same points per game average.
Following closely behind are Leverstock Green and Colney Heath. Green have a number of up and coming young players who helped them on a good FA Vase run detailed further below.
Behind them came Aylesbury United making their debut in the league with many people tipping them to have a awful season following their relegation from the Zamaretto League. Thankfully, for fan's of The Ducks, this wasn't to be and it was a season of consolidation for the ground sharers at Leighton Town's Bell Close ground.
The two club's promoted from Division One (Hadley and Holmer Green) both avoided relegation and will look to improve next season.

Eighteenth placed St Mags had a very good home record winning 12, drawing 4 and losing 6 of their games. If only they could of taken some of this form on the road it would given them a much higher finish in the table. They only won three times on their travels losing 17 times. Only the bottom two in the table lost more (18). The three away wins came at local rivals Hertford Town (0-1 on 7th September), Oxhey Jets (1-2 on 30th October) and Hanwell Town (0-1 on 19th April). Their away goals total of just 14 was the lowest in the league with bottom of the table Langford and Kentish Town following on 20 and 18 respectively. The Saints goals per game was 0.64 per game away from home compared to 1.77 at The Recreation Ground.
Champions Chalfont St Peter's goals per game stood at 2.22 at home and 2.27 away.
Top scorers at home were Colney Heath on 56 goals in 22 games and Royston Town on 56 goals away from home.
The champions took both home and away defensive records conceding just 13 and 21. A fantastic achievement by any standards.
Bottom of the table Langford only picked up six of the 66 league points available on their travels. Their solitary win came at the eighteenth time of asking against second bottom Kentish Town (2-3 on 30th March). The three draws came against Hillingdon Borough, Harefield Town and Hertford Town. Their record against the top four makes grim reading for their supporters - P 8 W 0 D 0 L 8 GF 4 GA 34 PTS 0
Stotfold, in their first season following transfer from the United Counties League, were king of the draws. Twelve of their games finished all square, of which only two finished 0-0. Both games without goals came in quick succession on the 2nd April (away at Hadley) and the 9th April (home to Chalfont St Peter).
In contrast Hatfield Town only drew three of their league matches. Finishing in a respectable 11th place Town lost as many games (22) as 19th and 20th placed Oxhey Jets and Biggleswade United.

As you can see from the above table Chalfont St Peter won the league title on a points per game average of 2.34 which is the best since Steve Newing and Del Deanus's Edgware Town team of 2006/07. Their goals per game average was the lowest since Beaconsfield SYCOB in 2000/01 but their defence had a tremendous record, only bettered by the SYCOB team of 2003/04, conceding only 0.77 goals per game.
The cold end has deducted that a blueprint to win the league sees a team will need to get an average of 2.35 points per game!! That's the average for the last eleven seasons. However, this is of course easier said than done.
Harefield United's finish in 21st position seems along way from the end of the 2008/09 season The Hares lost out on the league title on the final day of the season by just one goal with Biggleswade Town gaining promotion by the shortest of margins.
Hertford Town's 2006/07 goal haul of 122 (they only finished in third place) is still the highest in the league since 2000. It included 0-9 and 0-7 away victories at Haringey Borough and Royston Town, both of whom were relegated that season. It's followed very closely by Chalfont's total from 2009/10 of 121 where The Saint's finished in the runners up spot.

Langford's defensive record of letting in 126 goals in 44 league games is bad but no where near as bad as New Bradwell St Peter's record of 143 in 38 league games in the season of 2001/02.
Leverstock Green and Dunstable Town had fantastic FA Vase runs. Green beat Welwyn Garden City (6-0 at home), Enfield 1893 FC in an amazing game (5-4 H), Hullbridge Sports (1-5 A), Tunbridge Wells (3-1 H), Bemerton Heath Harlequins (5-1 H) before being knocked out by Surrey County League side Rye United in a 1-2 defeat at Pancake Lane.
Dunstable Town started their run with a 4-2 defeat of Hanwell Town at home and then beat Cranfield United (2-1 H), AFC Wallingford (5-0 H), CRC (2-1 H), Tring Athletic (1-6 A), Willand Rovers (2-0 H) before being drawn away to Vase giant's Whitley Bay. The trip up North in front of a crowd of 1,110 saw Town leading 0-1 at half time only for Bay to score 5 times in the second period (including two right at the end of the game which put some gloss on the scoreline for the home side) to knock Town out of the competition.
Both clubs done the league very proud in their cup runs. Hopefully another team or teams get another good run in the competition next season and maybe even all the way to Wembley!!!
The 2011/2012 league season is due to start on Saturday 13th August.

EAGLES LIFT THE ANAGRAM RECORD'S TROPHY
The final of the Anagram Record's Trophy took place yesterday at the Hertfordshire FA County Ground in Letchworth. Aston Clinton of the Spartan South Midlands Division Two made the trip to play Letchworth Garden City Eagles of the Hertfordshire Senior County League Premier Division. The Eagles had made the much shorter journey from their home ground of Pixmore 'though the fence'.

Clinton's manager Paul Faulkner then called his whole team over the sideline when a player was down injured and gave his side some words of wisdom which really seemed to galvanise his side who showed some real spirit and determination to get back into the game. With six minutes remaining the match was well in the balance at 3-2 only for the Eagles to pounce on a ball given away in their half to seal the game with a fourth goal.

The development at Queen Elizabeth Stadium where Enfield Town are scheduled to call home from September this year is coming along very well. The hard work and graft of the Sunday morning working party was witnessed today by the cold end. The base for where the dug-outs will be placed was being laid when the following pictures were taken.

A WRONG FINALLY RIGHTED - AFC WIMBLEDON ENTER LEAGUE TWO
Much has been written about the creation of the MK Dons and subsequently fans-formed* AFC Wimbledon in 2002. Today, one of the biggest wrongs ever to happen to a football club was finally righted when AFC beat Luton Town on penalty kicks to win the Blue Square Premier play off final at Eastlands, thus earning them promotion to the Football League.
*not forgetting Enfield Town were of course the first fan's formed and owned club a year prior in 2001
From the first competitive game the club played at Sandhurt Town's Bottom Meadow ground in the Combined Counties Premier League on Saturday 17th August 2002 followed by their first home game a few days later, which Chipstead won 1-2 incidentally, the club has never looked back.
Fairy Tale will be a word commonly used by many people to describe the story of Wimbledon entering the league for a "second" time so to speak. The cold end sees it as pure hard work, belief and determination from everyone involved at the club. It goes to show what can be achieved.
Congratulations to all at AFC Wimbledon. They become the sixth former Isthmian League side to join the football league alongside Aldershot Town, Yeovil Town, Wycombe Wanderers, Dagenham & Redbridge and Stevenage. This can only demonstate how strong the Isthmian League is.
What price for AFC Wimbledon to climb the leagues and lift The FA Cup in 2022?????.....well who would of said back in August 2002 that they would of been a Football League club today.

From the first competitive game the club played at Sandhurt Town's Bottom Meadow ground in the Combined Counties Premier League on Saturday 17th August 2002 followed by their first home game a few days later, which Chipstead won 1-2 incidentally, the club has never looked back.
Fairy Tale will be a word commonly used by many people to describe the story of Wimbledon entering the league for a "second" time so to speak. The cold end sees it as pure hard work, belief and determination from everyone involved at the club. It goes to show what can be achieved.

FAULKNER LEAVES WARE - GRAYS CLOSE TO APPOINTING NEW BOSS
The official Ware FC website has announced the resignation of boss Tony Faulkner who has decided to leave Wodson Park with immediate effect.

For the second season in a row no team has been relegated from the Ryman Division One (North) with bottom of the table Waltham Forest breathing a big sigh of relief as the resignations of both Glapwell FC and Retford United from the Northern Premier League led to both themselves and Beaconsfield SYCOB being reprieved from the relegation to Step 5. Chatham Town (who move North) also earned a reprieve due to a vacancy at Step 4.

THE COLD END RECOMMENDS.... "LES ROSBIFS"
A website that most definately should be filed under 'must read' is Les Rosbifs which follows the fortune of English footballers in foreign lands. A truly cracking read that the cold end highly recommends. Where else can you read about a player born in Chester who has been labelled the Mexican Wayne Rooney due in part to his displays for his club team in the Copa Libertadores.

RYMAN DIVISION ONE (NORTH) PRE-SEASON FRIENDLIES
Here is a list of friendly games that have been arranged for forthcoming pre-season so far. This is assuming Aveley join the division from the Ryman Premier along with Leiston and Enfield 1893 FC and one other club possibly from the Ryman South Division. The cold end will update the list throughout May, June and July. Those left blank have no fixtures announced as yet.
Enfield Town have five games scheduled at present, all are away from home due to the Queen Elizabeth Stadium still being worked on for a opening sometime in September. For the first few league games Town will play at Cheshunt FC's Theobald's Lane ground.
Of the five scheduled games there are two new grounds to visit with a trip to Daventry Town (who lost the Zamaretto Central Division play off final) on the 30th July 2010. Town did play Daventry Town last pre-season but the game was played at Daventry United's Royal Oak Way ground so it'll be a chance to see the Communication's Park stadium for Town supporters.
A week later on the 6th August Town travel to Spartan South Midlands League champions Chalfont St Peter. The Saints play at Mill Meadow.
Fans of AFC Sudbury will be packing their buckets, spades and sun-cream for their 2nd August trip to Eastern Counties League side FC Clacton. A great chance to visit the Essex coast for fans of the Suffolk club.

The Marketmen did have the best record over the first twenty league games but too many drawn games over the last twenty (8) saw them just fall short of John Coventry's impressive Essex side. Market had a tremendous first season at Step 4 of the non-league pyramid and will be very disappointed that Brentwood Town beat them in the play-off semi-final. Up until that game the Suffolk side had been unbeaten at home in the league. They are bound to be up amongst the challengers next season.
Looking at the twenty/twenty tables it shows that Romford had a brilliant first half of the season with only Needham Market and East Thurrock United beating their record. Their second half of the season was the complete opposite with only Cheshunt and Thamesmead Town (who themselves dropped rapidly down the table) below them. Both Harlow Town and Brentwood Town's form towards the business end of the season propelled them into the play-off spots along with Wingate and Finchley and Needham Market.
Wingate and Finchley banished last season's play-off heartache by beating both Harlow Town and Brentwood Town to claim a place in the Ryman Premier Division for the 2011/12 season. The cold end sends both them and East Thurrock United the best of luck for next season.
For Enfield Town it was a case of so near but yet so far missing out on fifth place by just one point. Turn just one of the defeats into a draw and it would of been a different story. That seems to be football....so many what ifs?? There were some real highlights of the Town like the 1-5 and 0-6 away victories at AFC Sudbury and Brentwood Town but equally there were some low points too (1-2 at home to Cheshunt springs to mind). Only the Champions had a better defensive record than Enfield Town which is a major plus for Steve Newing and the team to take into next season's campaign.
It looks as if we'll be saying farewell for now to Waltham Forest who finished bottom of the table. Only one relegation spot remained after Leyton FC's demise earlier in the season. Pending other clubs dropping out of other leagues it looks like The Stags will be playing in the Essex Senior League next season. New teams joining the league for next season (again pending official announcements etc) should be Aveley (relegated from the Premier Division along with probably another team moving across from Division One South), Enfield 1893 FC (Champions of the Essex Senior League) and Leiston (Champions of the Eastern Counties League).

Best FA Cup Performance Needham Market were narrowly beaten by Blue Square South side Ebbsfleet United (0-1) in the third qualifying round at Bloomfields. Best FA Trophy Performance AFC Sudbury's 1-2 victory at Zamaretto Champions Truro City stands out, along with Romford's 1-3 victory at Zamaretto S&W League Champion's AFC Totton.
Some random facts and other stuff about the 2010/11 season
The game between Great Wakering Rovers and Potters Bar Town on the 20th November 2010 will be surely be remembered as one of the most amazing games ever played. Potters Bar Town won 5-6 with Rover's Dan Trenkell scoring all five goals for his side and unbelievably finishing on the losing side.
The loyal supporters of Tilbury saw their side score no goals in a barren run of seven league games in October, November and December. The Docker's scored in the 1-3 defeat to Thamesmed Town on the 28th September 2010 and then had the following run of results - 0-2, 0-2, 0-2, 0-1, 0-0, 0-2, 0-4 before beating their local rival's Grays Athletic at Chadfields by a scoreline of 3-2.
It took Waltham Forest 15 games to register a victory in the league. It came courtesy of a 2-1 home victory over Cheshunt on the 10th November.
Enfield Town bid farewell to Goldsdown Road with a run of five league victories conceding just one goal in the process.
AFC Sudbury drew most games (12) with 7 coming at home and 5 on their travels.
Unsurprisingly the most away defeats record goes to bottom of the table Waltham Forest (15) with their solitary victory "on the road" rather ironically coming at Cricklefields against Ilford (0-1 on the 15th January). For those reading this not in the know Waltham Forest ground share Ilford's home ground. In turn, The Foxes, suffered the most home defeats (13).
Thamesmead Town's two victories in their last twenty games came against Waltham Forest at home (1-0) and away at Romford (0-3) on the final day of the season.
Brentwood Town qualified for the play-offs in fifth place on a points total of 69 from 40 games (1.72 points per game) compared to East Thurrock United in 2009/10 on 77 from 42 (1.83 points per game).
Champions East Thurrock United won the league on a points per game average of 2.38 which is nearly the same as 2009/10 champions Lowestoft Town on 2.40 PPG.

CLUBS WITH PIERS PART THREE - SOUTHWOLD TOWN FC
Southwold, Suffolk is one of the most picturesque seaside towns in Great Britain with a fantastic unspoilt sea-front and beach. It is famous for many things such as the colourful huts that sprawl alongside the beach, being the home to Adnams Brewery and the location where some of the outside shots of the CBEEBIES show 'Grandpa in my Pocket' are filmed. My nearly four year old son was delighted to visit Miss Smiley's shop on the pier and to see the lighthouse that is home to Mr Mentor the Inventor. The outside of Jason Mason's (who for those not in the know is the main character in one my son's favouirite programmes) house is actually filmed in near-by Aldeburgh, which is equally as nice as it's neighbouring town.

This season hasn't been a good one for the club's first team as you can see they were only beaten into bottom position by the Reserve side of Sprowston Athletic.Formed in 1895 the club has seen some success in their recent history when in 2004/05 they had a run of glory to the final of the Suffolk FA Junior Cup Final where they met one of their local rivals in Leiston St Margarets of the Suffolk and Ipswich League Division One. The game played at Ipswich Town's Portman Road ground finished 0-0 after extra time where their near-neighbours (just over 10 miles seperate the two towns) won 6-5 on penalty kicks. The cup run is even more impressive when you see that every game bar Round One was played away from home. Division Three and Divison Two of the Anglian Combination were also won, acheiving back-to-back promotions, in season's 2003/04 and 2004/05.

This season they didn't have much luck in the competition going out in Round One to the wonderfully named 'Blundeston Magpies' (of the Lowestoft and District League Division One). Leiston St Margarets qualified for the final again this year but lost out to Glemsford and Cavendish United in front of 596 people at Portman Road. G&C United play in the Cambridgeshire FA County League Division BIS3A (both Glemsford and Cavendish are located just to the North of Sudbury) alongside another fanstically named side 'Figleaves'.
Southwold Town Reserves didn't have much luck either this season in their league campaign finishing 12th of 13 teams in the Notley's Lowestoft and District League Division Three.

With Leiston FC set to join the Ryman Division One (North) ranks for the 2011/12 season I think many fans may take the opportunity to visit either Southwold or Aldeburgh before or after they play at Victory Road. Knowing Enfield Town's luck we'll get a Tuesday night trip like we've had to Lowestoft and Needham Market over the past few seasons.
ENFIELD TOWN LADIES 5 A-SIDE TOURNAMENT
Enfield Town Ladies FC are hosting a weekend of 5-aside football with a boys tournament on 25th June and girls and women’s tournaments on 26th June.
The Boys 5-a-side Tournament will be held on Saturday 25th June 2011 at ‘Enfield Playing Fields, Donkey Lane, Enfield, Middlesex, EN1 3PL’ and they will be running a total of seven age groups - Under 8's through to Under 14's.
The Women’s and Girl’s tournament will be at the same venue on the Sunday 26th June and will be over six age groups with the Women’s being open age.
BOTH DAYS ARE OPEN TO GROUPS OF FRIENDS - NOT JUST TEAMS

"BRIDGE OVER THE RIVER MOLE" TO THE RYMAN PREMIER

The Tanners, as Leatherhead are known, last played in that division (albeit at the time a step 2 league, it now being step 3) in the 1982/83 season when they were relegated after finishing bottom of the table conceding 121 goals over 42 league games. They have since spent their time in the lower divisions of the Isthmian League with one promotion in 1997 when they finished runners up behind Collier Row & Romford in Division Two. Last season they qualified for the play-offs but went out on penalty kicks in the semi-final against Folkestone Invicta (who had finished in second place to Leatherhead's fifth)... this season they ended up in fourth place and again travelled to the South coast where they banished last season's penalty heartache by beating Brighton based Whitehawk on spot kicks.

Dulwich Hamlet have been out of the Isthmian League top flight since relegation in 2001.The club has a thriving youth section having qualified for the Third Round proper of the FA Youth Cup this season where Newcastle United ran out 2-6 winners on a memorable night at Champion Hill. Two young players from that side have since signed for professional clubs with Quade Taylor joining Crystal Palace and Paul McCallum joining West Ham United.
Hamlet had won through to Saturday afternoon's match by winning 1-2 at Bognor Regis Town who had finished as runners-up in the league table on a difference of one goal. Thirty one points had separated the two sides in 2nd and 5th place. Some people may argue the play-offs are unfair but the cold end is a massive fan as it creates an end of season excitement and interest for everyone. In fact Hamlet had been well out of the play-off picture going into the last twelve matches in the season and it was only their brilliant run of results that allowed them to sneak into 5th place. Leatherhead, on the other hand, had been top for part of the season and dropped down into the play-off places in the last 20 league games.

As all football fans knows form goes out of the window for these one off games and what happened on Saturday afternoon will be remembered by both sets of supporters for a long time to come. Neither side deserved to lose what was a fantastic game that went to extra time. If you were a Dulwich or Leatherhead fan you certainly went through a roller coaster of emotions in the 120 minutes that was played out in front of a crowd of 1,022. The cold end won't go into too much (scroll down for more about the result and more photos) in case someone reading this doesn't know the score - just sit back and watch the highlights (including all of the seven goals that were scored) of a game that was a tremendous advert for Ryman League football.
Dulwich Hamlet were the best side for mostly all of the 90 minutes of regular play with their pace and good passing going forward causing all sorts of problems for the Leatherhead back line. Being 1-3 up with only 10 minutes of ordinary time left it was looking like Hamlet were destined for promotion and even when Leatherhead got one back on 83 minutes it still looked like the South Londoner's were going to win.

Massive credit goes to Dulwich Hamlet as they didn't give up and in the second period of 15 minutes extra-time had two good chances to make it 4-4 taking the game to penalty kicks. The post and Leatherhead's goal-keeper Chico Ramos came to the home side's rescue.

Here is where the spirit of non-league football was shown as a group of Leatherhead fan's went right over to the Hamlet fan's in the covered end behind the goal and applauded them and their team for their efforts. Hamlet fans sung "we'll support you evermore" - with their exciting young players and the management duo of Gavin Rose and Junior Kadi the cold end is sure Champion Hill will see more good football next season.

Some people knock the play-offs but yesterday's games across the Ryman Divisons surely show that they are a good thing. In the Ryman Premier Division Tonbridge Angels were 3-1 up at half time against Lowestoft Town in front of 2,411 but The Trawlerboy's levelled it at 3-3 on 75 minutes only the for Angels to score in the 78th and what sounds a brilliant game finished 4-3. Including Wingate's 3-2 victory over Brentwood that's 19 goals over three games!!
Dulwich Hamlet are one of only four clubs (occured five times) to score three goals against Leatherhead at Fetcham Grove this season in 31 games. League games versus Ramsgate 3-3 (28/09), Eastbourne Town 7-3 (11/12) go along with Hamlet's 1-5 Championship Manager Cup Semi-Final on the 8th March and Enfield Town's 1-3 FA Trophy victory on the 2nd October.

EVERYONE HAS A VIEW FROM THE COLD END
With Enfield Town's move away from Goldsdown Road and onto the Queen Elizabeth Stadium some people have asked if the cold end will be renamed as it was originally titled after "the cold end" at the Stadium in Brimsdown.
The Cold End will remain, as since starting the website I have been to many local non-league grounds and found that many of them have Cold Ends. Even though it is essentially about Enfield Town FC as this is the club I support you can see many other clubs, leagues and games are covered. I'm sure once the Town settle into their new surroundings in September we'll find the new ground has a cold end too!!

THE FA TROPHY - ROAD TO WEMBLEY
Two ex Football League sides play out the FA Trophy final tomorrow afternoon when Mansfield Town and Darlington play below the arch of the new Wembley stadium. For both Blue Square Premier sides the road to the National Stadium began in the 1st Round proper but you can trace back the road slightly further when Enfield Town travelled to Fetcham Grove to play Leatherhead in the Preliminary Round. Here is the cold end's road to Wembley.
The cold end hopes all the fan's of The Quakers and The Stags have a fantastic day out tomorrow and wishes both teams the best of luck.
