THICK FOG IN WEMBLEY

The game at Vale Farm versus Hendon was called off at around 5.30pm by the referee for fog. The cold end made my way to the ground battling through the squashed commuters on the tube to find a nice clear night in the shadow of the national stadium only to be greeted by the friendly Hendon official in the car park who told me the game was off. I could of had 100 guesses and wouldn't of said fog in any of them but it has been confirmed that when the official made his inspection at 5.30pm it was very foggy and he couldn't see both ends from the centre spot so maybe it was a good decision made. The game now has to be fitted somewhere in Enfield Town's and Hendon's busy schedule.

The game at Cheshunt v Grays Athletic was also called off as was Broxbourne Borough's in the Spartan South Midlands League cup whereas most other local games went ahead.

Redbridge's game versus Wingate and Finchley was the only league game to go ahead where the away side triumphed with a 1-2 win to go top of the league in front of a recorded crowd of 30 loyal people which is the second lowest league attendance of the season. The 22 hardy souls who watched Leyton V Tilbury on Saturday can lay holders of that record at present. The highest league crowd so far was the 512 posted by AFC Sudbury v Maldon and Tiptree on the 9th November.
