HENDON V ENFIELD TOWN TAKE TWO - THE BIG TRIP TO WEMBLEY (FC)

Hopefully the fog and any other type of  inclement weather condition will hold off for tomorrow's rescheduled Middlesex Senior Cup game between Hendon and Enfield Town at Vale Farm. The good news is the cold end has managed to raise funds for a new camera so hopefully all being well we'll get some footage of the game. Hendon had a spare Saturday so will be fresh and ready for the match which could go to extra-time and penalties.

There is near enough a full list of league fixtures in the Ryman North division with eight games tomorrow night and Ilford entertaining Ware on Wednesday night.

TUESDAY
Brentwood Town v AFC Sudbury
Cheshunt v East Thurrock United
Maldon and Tiptree v Harlow Town
Needham Market v Redbridge
Potters Bar Town v Waltham Forest
Romford v Great Wakering Rovers
Thamesmead Town v Heybridge Swifts
Wingate & Finchley v Tilbury
WEDNESDAY
Ilford v Ware

The pick of the games has to be Maldon and Tiptree versus Trophy heroes Harlow Town. The Hawks have dropped down to 9th position with M&T now in 2nd place in the league following their run of good form. Two home bankers for the night come at Potters Bar Town who entertain rock bottom Waltham Forest and Wingate and Finchley who entertain Tilbury.  The Dockers won their last away game at Leyton but were involved in a 0-0 bore draw at home to Cheshunt on Saturday. If W&F score early the cold end thinks they will quite easily cement their position on top of the league. The Stags have suffered big defeats (1-4 and 1-5) on their last two trips so The Scholars who are unbeaten at home in seven league games should take the three points despite showing some defensive frailty in the 5-6 win at Great Wakering Rovers on Saturday.

Another home banker most people would mark down is Redbridge's long trip to Needham Market. The home side are unbeaten at home winning all six of their league games but let in four goals verus Ware on Saturday in only their 2nd defeat of the season. The Motormen have improved of late and only narrowly lost against W&F in their last game. Rebridge have gained two creditable draws (Grays 2-2, Potters Bar 2-2 where they were 0-2 up with only minutes left) and were 2-0 in their 3-2 defeat to Maldon and Tiptree in their last three away games. The form says a home win all the way but I expect Redbridge to run the home side close.

Another side who tasted glory in the FA Trophy and arguably got the result of the round AFC Sudbury face a shorter trip than Truro when they go to Brentwood Town. The Blues from is up and down and the Suffolk side's is of the same roller coaster appearance. A close game in prospect at the International Arena.

Romford will find it tough at home to Great Wakering Rovers who will want to bounce back from Saturday's 5-6 thriller. GWR had scored in all but one of their seven away league games with Boro gaining three clean sheets from six home games. The other three games they have only let one goal in each time. Another close game which could go either way.

How close the race for the title is can only be illustrated by the fact if Tilbury upset Wingate and Finchley by winning either one of the rest of top five could go top with a possibility sixth placed Romford could go second with a win depending on other results.
