BIG LOCAL DERBY IN THE ESSEX SENIOR LEAGUE
Most footballing eyes in East London will be focused on The Boleyn Ground later this afternoon when West Ham United face Chelsea in the Barclay's Premier League all London clash.
The cold end asks how many of the 35,000+ crowd will be aware of the other local derby that is taking place just a short distance away at The Terrance McMillan Stadium. The Essex Senior League clash between rivals London APSA and Clapton also kicks off at 3pm.
The two league games played between the two Newham based sides last season drew an aggregate crowd of 26. Just 11 people watched APSA's 1-0 victory at the McMillan stadium on the 27th of February with 15 spectators turning out on the 6th of March to watch a 2-2 draw up the road at the historic Spotted Dog Ground.
Clapton have made a terrible start to their league season losing all four games played so far with APSA winning two and drawing 1 of their three games. The Tons lost 1-8 at home to Stansted on the 28th of August.
The cold end wishes good luck to both teams in what should be an entertaining game!!
