NEW SEASON GAMBLE - THE DIRECTOR RETURNS!!!

The odds for the Ryman Division One North Championship are up on Sky Bet and I'm dusting my wallet off for another season of some sensible and some not so sensible gambling!

Town have been made join favourites with Wingate and Finchley for the title this season. Both sides look set to be strong once again this season and I would not rule either out for the Championship, although I think 7/1 doesn’t offer great value in what is set to be a very tough division this season.

I've had my ear to the ground during the summer and believe that Harlow Town, Maldon & Tiptree and Brentwood all offer excellent value as they have all made some top summer signings. The Hawks are coming from a long way back and might not have quite enough. I’d therefore recommend a small each-way wager on Brentwood and Maldon.

(cold end note - I think the 12/1 offered on Heybridge Swifts maybe the best each way bet as Wayne Bond's side had a steady second half of the season after christmas and are bound to improve for the 2010/11 campaign)
