THE DOWN'S PITCH AT BRIMSDOWN

Anyone who has visited Goldsdown Road over the past few weeks may have seen the Down's pitch has suffered from the extremely dry Summer we've been having. As you can see from the pictures the surface needs a few downpours and cloudbursts to help restore it to one which resembles a football pitch. It is used by teams from the G A Roberts Enfield Football Alliance League to stage matches through the season.
The condition of this pitch only underlines what a fantastic job the grounds people and volunteers are doing to produce good playing surfaces throughout the non-league game. The cold end salutes each and every one of you.
