In the summer of 2007 the Seadogs were wound up with debts of over £2,000,000. The fallout being two clubs appearing on the non-league map, Athletic were formed by the Supporters Trust and Town formed a year later by members of the Scarborough FC Supporters club. With Enfield Town formed in 2001 and Enfield FC 1893 formed in 2007 following the demise of the original Enfield FC can parallels be drawn between the Yorkshire town and Enfield???.
