MIDWEEK RYMAN (NORTH) PREVIEW

ALL EYES ON BIG GAME AT THAMES ROAD

No rain is forecast for the next five days so hopefully some games will be played with a near-enough full programme of fixtures due in midweek.

The big game is at Thames Road where 2nd plays 1st, when Concord Rangers who have won their last eight league games face off against Lowestoft Town. Rangers will go equal on points with The Trawlerboys should they win but Lowie still have three important games in hand and an inferior goal difference to keep them top of the league. bwin.com make the home side very slight favourites at 13/10 with an away win at 29/20 and a draw at 5/2.

Harlow Town face East Thurrock United at Barrows Farm. The Rocks have recently signed Leyton goalkeeper Elliot Justham as back to first choice Richard Wray and should run out winners at the bottom side who despite numerous new signings still can't gain the much needed victory they require.

Leyton have been busy signing new players following the appointment of former Ashford Town (Middx) reserve team boss Wilson Frimpong as Assistant Manager. Odudare Adesola, Enoch Adjepong Akosah, Glenn Harvey and William Joseph have all signed up at Lea Bridge Road. The new look side take on Thamesmead Town at home tomorrow night who will want to get back to winning ways following Saturday's shock defeat against Maldon Town. Leyton are 4/1 to win with an away win at 1/2 and a draw being 14/5. The question being will all the new signings gel together to get Leyton's first home victory of the season or will Thamesmead come back from the weekend's horror showing to bag three important points towards their play-off challenge.

Maldon Town who gained that shock win at Bayliss Avenue face Great Wakering Rovers at the Wallace Binder stadium. Rover's manager Iain O'Connell left last week to join Ryman Premier Margate. O'Connell played for the Gate and obviously couldn't resist the move upwards to what most supporters will class as a bigger club.

Northwood face Waltham Forest at home and should take all three points, Dave Anderson's team need to keep winning to keep in touch with play-off race.

Redbridge are scheduled to play Potters Bar Town but rumour is their pitch will not be ready for at least week following last week's downpour. The Motormen have now not played a home game since the 12th December and now face playing their remaining 20 league games in the space of two months. The cold end hopes their pitch troubles cease soon and with some nicer weather forecast they will hopefully get some games played. Expect this game to have the familiar 'P' next to it when you check the results tomorrow night.

Tilbury face VCD Athletic at Chadfields in the last of Tuesday's games.

Town visit Cricklefield's on Wednesday night in chance to gain revenge for our 0-1 home defeat to Ilford early in the season. The Foxes gained their first win for a while on Saturday in the 5-4 thriller versus Tilbury. Hopefully, their defence will be leaky again with their goal-scoring exploits of the weekend stopped by a resolute performance for Town's back-four.
