On this day is history 18 years ago Enfield FC visited Champions elect of the the Diadora League Woking, to play out a League Cup Quarter final game. Enfield FC had beaten Saffron Walden Town (a), Chertsey Town (a) and Hayes (h) to get to this stage and came back from Kingfield with a superb 0-2 victory. It was all in vain though as after beating Ware 2-1 on aggregate in the semi-final (thanks to 2-1 win at Ware's old ground Buryfield in the 1st leg) the final was lost 3-1 to Grays Athletic in a match played at Victoria Road, Dagenham.ENFIELD FC'S TEAM THAT DAY
