The cold end's midweek bet....

From my gambling mistakes this season so far I've learnt the lesson to keep it simple which i did when selecting Kingstonian to beat Canvey Island on Saturday at 9/4 which wasn't bad, it's the other bet I lost which was rubbish news.

It's silly going for a 5-fold as one team always invariably lets you down. My golden rule now is to bet on doubles as a maximum and hopefully this should do the trick.

Tonight Stevenage Borough who haven't lost since loosing to top of the table Oxford United 2-1 away on 22nd August host Julian Dick's Grays Athletic side. Borough have won 5 out of 5 beating Rushden & Diamonds and Mansfield Town along the way, who are both doing well in the league as well. The former West Ham legend's first game in charge on Saturday resulted in a 3-0 loss to Altrincham, Dicks will obviously be trying to put his stamp on the team and has signed Norwegian Striker Petar Rnkovic in time for a possible start at Broadhall Way. On the road this season Grays have played 5 times loosing 3 and drawing on 2 occasions at Histon and Crawley. The cold end can only see Boro winning here and takes the home side at http://www.skybet.com at 3/10.

Homeless Hendon entertain a Margate side who have had a terrible start to the season at Vale Farm tonight in the Ryman Premier League. Hendon have won 4 of their 8 games scoring 12 and letting in 12 which indicates their back line is not brilliant but Margate have only won twice at home to Boreham Wood and impressively away at Aveley. Margate have shipped 18 goals in 8 games so the cold end can only see the Kent side returning to the coast with a loss. Hendon are 4/5 to win this game at http://www.skybet.com

A £1 stake on the above double of Stevenage and Hendon pays £2.34. Not great money but by keeping it simple I'm hoping it will pay dividends.

Gamble responsibly!!!!
