EBAC NORTHERN LEAGUE OPENING FIXTURES

The EBAC Northern League kicks off in just over two weeks with Bishop Auckland and Heaton Stannington promoted to the Northern Premier League Division One East and Brandon United relegated to The Wearside League.

Joining the league are Kendall Town who move from the Northern Counties Premier West along with Marske United who return to the league they left as Champions in 2018. The Seasiders resigned from The Northern Premier League Premier Division in January due to financial problems.

In Division One Alnwick Town return after a six season stay in the Northern Alliance League along with Darlington Town who move up from the Wearside Premier Division. Town were formed in 2018 taking the place of Darlington FC Reserves who had been formed when Horden Colliery Welfare had moved to Darlington in 2016.

A new club Horden Community Welfare was formed in 2017 and after winning promotion from the Wearside League in 2021 they are also members of Division Two.

Grangetown Boys Club move to the EBAC Northern League for the first time in their history after moving up from The North Riding League - 'Boysie' as their are known are one of the biggest grassroots and community football clubs in Middlesbrough.

There are a number of local derby games in Division Two with Chester-Le-Street United to play Chester-Le-Street Town, Billingham Town to play Billingham Synthonia and Sunderland RCA to face Sunderland West End.

Although, Synnners continue to play outside of their home town after the loss of their much loved Central Avenue Stadium in 2017. They will spend the 24/25 campaign playing at Stockton Town's ground which is around three and half miles away from their spiritual home.
