Brimsdown FC spent the 22/23 season in the Essex Alliance League Senior Division after finishing bottom of the Thurlow Nunn First Division South. They won the title with former Hadley Assistant Manager Junior Matti in his first season in charge.
This season they are currently in ninth position on 14 wins from 33 games played. They have won 7 of their last 10 games with just 2 defeats against title challenger's Harlow Town and play-off hopeful's Clapton Community.
On Wednesday 6th March I was present to see them play Newbury Forest at Wormley Rovers where they are currently ground sharing. A crowd of just 8 people saw them run out 3-0 winners with Zion Dos Santos Sinclair netting 2 goals - He is a graduate of the famous Kinetic Academy and has been one of their stand out players this season with 19 goals from 31 league and cup games so is a name to look out for in the future.
Newbury Forest won their first two games of 2024 against Enfield Borough and Cannons Wood but since lost 5 games with 1 win at May & Baker.
One thing I loved at Wormley Rovers are the new floodlights in place which are very bright and make filming very easy. I'm not sure how long they've been up but they are new since I last visited when Wormley Rovers played Athletic Newham in OCTOBER 2020.
Brimsdown 'host' title challenger's Wormley Rovers this Wednesday evening which should have a much bigger crowd than the 8 who were present at the game I saw.
Newbury Forest travel to a new look Park View side under the management of Potchu Mendes on the same evening. They won 2-6 at Newbury Forest at the beginning of February.
