THE PITCHING IN ISTHMIAN PREMIER DIVISION WEEKEND PREVIEW

There are many great games in The Pitching In Isthmian Premier Division at the weekend with the game of the weekend for me coming at Champion Hill when Dulwich Hamlet welcome league leader's Hornchurch. There will no doubt be a sold out 3,334 crowd in South London as Hamlet who many fans believe have under achieved this season - they are currently in ninth place and are in with a chance of a play-off place being only six points below the play-off zone.

Hakan Hayrettin's side are in form and unbeaten in five games of which four they have won. They will provide formidable opposition for The Urchins who won 1-0 in new Manager Daryl McMahon's first official game in charge. The former Ebbsfleet United, Macclesfield Town and Dagenham & Redbridge Manager has recently replaced Steve Morison who departed for League Two side Sutton United.

There should be a big crowd for The Kent Derby as Chatham Town host Margate. The Chats need points to cement their play-off spot and will want to get back to winning ways after losing 4-2 at Wingate & Finchley in midweek. The Gate, without a win in 17 league games, desperately need points to lift themselves out of the drop zone.

Kingstonian are another side on a long run without a win. They haven't won for 15 league games and have a tough trip to play-off chasing Enfield Town on Saturday. The K's are bottom of the table and 9 points away from safety with just 3 wins all season - the likelihood is they will be playing at Step Four next season for the first time since the 08/09 season.

Cheshunt are another side looking to pick up points to keep away from the drop zone - they face a very tough away trip to the in form team of the division. Bognor Regis Town have won their last six games in a row- they are also unbeaten in their twelve league games played at The MKM Arena/Nyewood Lane this season so far. The Ambers have won two and lost eight of their last ten league games.

What is not good is rain is forecast for most of Friday and for Saturday afternoon in many areas - What with all the rain we've had over the week let's hope some games can still be on!!
