South Liverpool are, of course, a huge name in the history of non-league football and were members of the Northern Premier League from 1968 to 1991 when the club were forced to withdraw from the league due to financial and off the field problems. A new 'South Liverpool AFC' were formed in 1991 and played junior football until a merger with 'Cheshire Lines' in 1992 formed 'Cheshire Lines South Liverpool' playing in the Liverpool County Combination. After a successful season the clubs split and the South Liverpool continued under it's sole name. Since the 21/22 season they have played in the North West Counties League Division One with their home ground at Jericho Lane since 2000 which is only 3 miles away from their spiritual home of Holly Park which is now Liverpool South Parkway train station.

Moneyfields have recently beaten Fareham 8-1 in a league game with striker Callum Laycock hitting 19 goals so far! The club seem to be on the up as their ground is undergoing a £5.2m redevelopment in partnership with Portsmouth In The Community.
Falmouth made the opposite journey in the last round travelling to Fareham Town where they won 0-1 - their best run in the Vase came back in the 86/87 season when they lost in a Quarter Final replay at home to St Helens Town.
