ENGLISH NON-LEAGUE STARS MOVE NORTH OF THE BORDER TO SCOTTISH CHAMPIONSHIP TEAMS

Over the past few seasons Joel Nouble and Dipo Akinyemi have made really successful moves North of the Border. Nouble moved from Aldershot Town to Premiership side Livingston in 2021 and spent time on loan with Arbroath in the 21/22 season where he became a real fan's favourites with their loyal fans. He played for a number of non-league sides prior to his move to Livingston representing Haringey Borough, Concord Rangers, Thurrock, Bishop's Stortford and Grays Athletic to name a few.

Reports have suggested clubs in Belgium, Holland and France interested in signing Nouble who in currently contracted with Livvy until 2024 with manager David Martindale slapping a £1,000,000 price tag on his head.

Akinyemi has recently moved to Vanarama National League side York City after spending the 22/23 campaign with Ayr United. He joined The Honest Men from Welling United having also played for Braintree Town, Cheshunt, Dulwich Hamlet as well as a host of non-league clubs whilst with Stevenage between 2015 to 2018. He began his career with the youth teams of Potters Bar Town. He netted 24 goals in 45 leaguer and cup games last season being named The Scottish Championship player of the season!

Four players have recently moved from North of The Border who many non-league fans in London and the South-East will have knowledge of. I wish Dayshonne Golding, Jess Norey, Jay Bird and Wasiri Williams the very best of luck with their new clubs!
